Roof Soft Washing & Algae Stain Removal in Madeira Beach
Gulf humidity feeds the algae behind the black streaks on beach-town roofs. Low pressure lifts it clean, and the granules stay on the shingles.
Why low pressure matters
Granules stay put
A hard jet of water can strip granules off aging shingles. Low pressure cleans without that cost.
Streaks come off
Algae streaks, moss and the grit that settles in valleys are lifted and rinsed away.
Treatment meets shingle, not grime
When washing comes first, the shingle treatment goes onto the shingles themselves rather than the layer sitting on them.
Streaks, moss and salt air
Warm, damp air off the Gulf suits algae. It starts as faint shadows on the shadier slopes and spreads into long dark stripes. Moss follows in corners and along the eaves, holding moisture against the shingles.
A hose and a stiff brush will not shift it without harming the roof. A soft wash loosens the growth with a gentle cleaning solution, then rinses it away at low pressure.
Wash day, in order
Shield the garden
Plants are wetted and covered, and anything below the eaves is moved or protected.
Clear debris
Leaves, twigs and loose moss come off the roof and out of the valleys by hand.
Wash gently
The cleaning solution goes on and is rinsed off at low pressure, slope by slope.
Walk it back
We check every slope, rinse the plants again and leave the ground as we found it.
What the wash price covers
One figure, agreed before the ladder comes off the truck.
In the figure
- Covering and rinsing plants
- Clearing debris from the roof and valleys
- Cleaning every slope at low pressure
- Clean-up around the house
Not part of a wash
- High-pressure blasting of any kind
- Fixing loose or missing shingles (that is the tune-up)
- Gutter replacement
